Shesainnocentpiloto turned in the fastest qualifying time Wednesday afternoon as six trials were contested for the $125,000-added BOCO Futurity at Sandy Ridge.

The two-year-olds competed at 350 yards over a fast track, with Shesainnocentpiloto leading the qualifiers after winning the fourth trial in :17.645 for a 106 speed index.

Ridden by Adrian Morales, Shesainnocentpiloto broke sharply from post five, immediately took command and held her advantage to the wire, winning by a half-length.

Shesainnocentpiloto is owned by Jorge Antonio Silva and trained by Jose Estrada. Bred in Louisiana by Grant Farms LLC, the filly was a $4,000 repurchase at the LQHBA Yearling Sale.

She is sired by Hes Innocent and out of the Mr Piloto mare Famous Flying Piloto. Her female family includes champion One Famous Eagle ($1,387,453).

The victory marked the third consecutive win for Shesainnocentpiloto, who improved her record to 5-3-1-0 with earnings of $41,820.

Keep On Rollin 123 opened the afternoon's trial action with a victory and posted the second-fastest qualifying time of :17.667, also earning a 106 speed index. The gelding broke outward and bumped at the start but quickly gained the advantage before drawing clear to win by one length.

Martin Munoz rode Keep On Rollin 123 for trainer Ricardo Martinez. The gelding was bred by Whiting Ranch, which co-owns him with Raymond Whitmire. He is sired by champion Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the Lota Pyc mare Flashy Lota.

His female family includes world champion and four-time champion Empressum ($2,701,248), five-time champion Hes Judgeandjury ($2,016,522) and dam of distinction Crazy Down Corona ($73,162). Keep On Rollin 123 has now won two straight and owns a record of 3-2-1-0 with earnings of $18,650.

Nena C recorded the third-fastest qualifying time with an impressive victory in the fifth trial. Despite stumbling and being bumped at the start, the filly surged to the front and drew away to win by 1 1/4 lengths in :17.671, earning a 106 speed index.

Juan Pulido rode Nena C for owner Air Force LLC and trainer Samuel Mendoza. Bred by Stone Chase Stables LLC, she is sired by Kiss My Hocks and out of the winning One Famous Eagle mare Bestest. Her second dam is graded stakes winner Cluster Of Stars ($549,600).

SEGUIN, TX — August 19, 2026

Seven finalists by leading third-year sire Kj Mucho Macho Man are headed to six major stakes worth a combined $1.15 million following a strong weekend of qualifying performances.

Standing at Haddad Ranch, Kj Mucho Macho Man is currently the No. 1 leading third-year sire in the nation, with progeny earnings exceeding $1.4 million in 2026 and nearly $4 million from three crops to race.

Two of his juveniles will line up in the $561,054 LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1) on August 29, led by fastest qualifier Man For Cos.

Man For Cos won his trial in 17.460 seconds to top the qualifying list for the rich Louisiana-bred final. The victory was his fourth from six career starts and pushed his earnings to $91,230.

A win in the LQHBA Sale Futurity would add $252,474 to his bankroll. Bred in Louisiana, Man For Cos is out of the Tee Cos mare Just For Cos.

Kj Meduzza gave the sire a second finalist after stopping the timer in 17.654 seconds.

The Lee Berwick Memorial Futurity (RG1) winner has hit the board in six of seven starts, winning twice and earning $350,037. Kj Meduzza also finished second in the Louisiana Bred Juvenile and was a finalist in the Mardi Gras Futurity (G2).

Another fastest qualifier for Kj Mucho Macho Man will head to the $230,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG2) on August 22. Ruse Man Crystal won the seventh trial by two lengths and covered the distance in :17.869 for a 95 speed index, the fastest qualifying time of the night.

Bred in Louisiana, Ruse Man Crystal is out of the Walk Thru Fire mare Crystal Sola. She entered the trials off a third-place finish in the Oklahoma Futurity (G2) and has now won two of three career starts while earning $59,818.

Mucho Man Lady added another major futurity opportunity for the sire when she qualified to the $159,740 Big Easy Futurity on August 28. Her time of 17.764 was the third-fastest among the finalists.

She has hit the board in all seven career starts with three wins, three seconds and one third while earning $163,659. Mucho Man Lady won the Old South Futurity, finished second in the Firecracker Futurity (G2) and was third in the Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2) earlier this season.

Two more Kj Mucho Macho Man juveniles will return on the August 29 LQHBA Sale Futurity card.

Multiple winner JL See Ya Man qualified to the $50,000 LQHBA Sale Juvenile in 17.920 seconds. It will be his first appearance in stakes company as he looks to add his first black-type victory.

KJ Man Elealicious will represent the sire in the $50,000 LQHBA Sale Debutante after qualifying in 17.890 seconds. The 2-year-old filly has one win from five starts and will also be looking for her first career stakes victory.

The success of his juveniles has Kj Mucho Macho Man ranked among the top 10 leading sires of 2-year-olds in the nation this year.

His runners are also making an impact beyond the futurity ranks.

Peacemaker Return earned a berth in the $100,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Derby after recording a qualifying time of 20.329 seconds. A finalist in the Louisiana Downs Maiden Classic and Firecracker Derby (G3) earlier this season, he will be looking for his first career stakes victory in the August 22 final.

The seven finalists give Kj Mucho Macho Man runners in futurity, derby and juvenile stakes company from one banner weekend of trials, continuing a strong third season for the young sire.

From three crops to race, Kj Mucho Macho Man has sired 47 winners and 13 black-type performers with progeny earnings approaching $4 million and average earnings per starter nearing $40,000.

Six of his runners have earned more than $100,000, including multiple graded stakes winner Kj Bad Moon Rising, an eight-time winner with earnings of $1,424,856 through age 4. He won the New Mexico State Fair Futurity (RG2) and finished second in the All American Futurity (G1).

SELMA, TX — August 16, 2026

Retama Park will kick off the final weekend of stakes action Friday evening with an 11-race card, highlighted by the Grade 3 $58,718 AQHA Racing Championship Challenge Stakes.

A field of eight 3-year-olds and older will line up for the featured event in the tenth race, scheduled for approximately 10:51 p.m. The accomplished field will travel 440 yards, with more than the stakes purse on the line. The winner will earn a berth to compete on AQHA Racing Championship Day at Albuquerque Downs on October 17.

Shakers No Secret leads the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite. The six-year-old gelding enters off a victory in the Grade 3 King William Stakes, prevailing by three-quarters of a length. The veteran has 11 career victories and 10 runner-up finishes, earning $864,925 for owners Abel Lopez, Ethan Lopez, and Manny Dutchover, who purchased him for $14,000 as a yearling at the Heritage Place Sale.

The son of Five Bar Cartel is out of the No Secrets Here mare Shaker Secret and was bred in Texas by Garlyn O. Shelton. Trainer Marc E. Jungers will send Shakers No Secret from the outside post eight with Raul Ramirez, Jr., aboard for the first time.

Stablemate Eagles Up enters as the second choice at 7-2 on the morning line. The four-year-old stallion has made only one start this season, running evenly against allowance company. He returns to stakes competition, seeking to recapture the form that carried him to victory in the $110,000 Sires Cup Derby in 2025.

Eagles Up has recorded five victories, three seconds, and three thirds in his career, earning $170,368.

The eight-horse field is completed by #1 Im a Pretty Mess, #2 Dr Pepper 123, #3 Klass Action, #4 Defours, #6 Sightseeing Beauty, and #7 Apollitical Jackie.

With an accomplished favorite, a stakes-winning stablemate, and a competitive field ready to challenge them, the Grade 3 AQHA Racing Championship Challenge Stakes will put the spotlight on Retama Park Friday night as the track begins its final weekend of stakes racing. The 440-yard showdown also offers an opportunity beyond Friday's purse, with a coveted berth to AQHA Racing Championship Day awaiting the winner.

The races at Retama Park can be watched on Q-Racing Video.

CYPRESS, CA — August 19, 2026

Led by a group of top local stakes winners in Mayor Humdinger, SG Jacob Jay, SM My Valentine, and Slatedtoshine, a talented field of seven 3-year-olds lines up for Saturday night’s $30,000 Sgt Pepper Feature Handicap at 350 yards.

Mike Casselman’s homebred Mayor Humdinger, who returns following a thrilling runner-up effort in the Governor’s Cup Derby where he finished second by a nose to Brother Ray, tops the field as he looks for his second career stakes win. The Mpshinning gelding earned his biggest victory in the 2025 Governor’s Cup Futurity and has compiled a record of four wins from seven starts with a field-best $149,215 in career earnings. Known around the barn for his easygoing nature, the gelding always saves his energy for race night.

“This horse just has a super mind... In the mornings he’ll get up and do his job and then just lie down in his stall,” Casselman has said of Mayor Humdinger’s laid-back demeanor. “But when it’s time to run, he applies himself.”

Trainer Adan Farias sends out a formidable pair, starting with SG Jacob Jay, a Favorite Cartel colt owned by Shane Giles. A full brother to AQHA Champion Tarzanito, SG Jacob Jay won the James Smith Memorial Handicap earlier this season and qualified for the Winter Derby final after winning his trial. The colt is named in honor of lifelong horseman Jacob Jay Giles, who passed away in October 2023.

“My dad asked me to see this horse through,” owner Shane Giles shared after the colt's James Smith victory. “This horse is special. It’s amazing what this horse has done for us.”

Farias also saddles SM My Valentine, owned by Santos Montemayor and Omar Torres. The Kiss My Hocks gelding won the Grade 2 PCQHRA Breeders Futurity as a juvenile and kicked off his 3-year-old stakes campaign by finishing fifth in the Grade 1 Winter Derby—one spot ahead of SG Jacob Jay. SM My Valentine and SG Jacob Jay then met in the James Smith, with the Giles-owned runner taking the victory. Born on Valentine’s Day, SM My Valentine now faces his stablemate for the third time as he searches for his first stakes win of the season.

The Schvaneveldt Sisters and Mark Smith’s Slatedtoshine won the La Pacifica Handicap against fillies in May and most recently finished sixth in the Governor’s Cup Derby. She will be pursuing her fourth win of the season.

Angela Aquino has enjoyed a lot of success with her Paint Horses at this meeting and sends out a pair in Saturday's feature. Carla Akers and Randy Perkins’ Turnpike Jammer makes his local debut following a strong campaign in Texas and Oklahoma. The Paint Horse finished second in a pair of futurities last season and boasts $91,806 in career earnings. Chiseled N Chrome is a familiar local name with eight starts this year, highlighted by a third-place finish in the Vandy’s Flash Handicap.

Double Bar S Ranch’s Accuzation, who ran in the El Primero Del Ano Derby in the spring and most recently earned his maiden diploma for trainer Elena Andrade, completes the field.
